Ok, see.. you said it didn't work.. the breathlessness is my way of describing the pain to u.. it didn't really hurt.. I felt like I couldn't breathe.. my INDUCTION was a success every single time.. The PITOCIN Amout continues to rise until u are @10 cm at that point they turn it off so u can push.. I am NOT a doctor mama.. just giving u my experience.. Lol I hope im not freaking u out.. plus.. if it was soooo bad.. there wouldn't be any babies.. right mama? :-)

Umm, I've been endured once and it was not like that lady described.  Yes, the procedures were the same, but I didn't feel like my breath was being taken away.  Keep in mind that everyone reacts differently to the meds.
You will most likely be given potosin (sp?)through an IV.  That will start contractions.  I think everything else from that point will be like going into labor on your own.

(My induction didn't work, I hardly felt the contractions.  I opted out of having my water broken and just left the hospital.  Came back a week later for a c-section)

You can ask for a membrane strip to induce "naturally" the day before a medicated induction.

Well just to warn u... never post that as ur title they may flag u. So ive been induced 3 times.. basically.. u go check in, undress, get in your gown.. they are going to hook u up to an IV and they connect the medicine dropper into that, basically... once it starts to take affect.. ur going to feel like ur breath is being taken away.. (shortness of breath) from forced contractions.. anywho.. it will probably start to become uncomfortable.. and u may want an epidural.. (the medicine they use to induce u with is called pitocin) anywho.. u will be fine.. u can always inbox me.. good luck mama
