Brown discharge on Crinone gel

I am 6 weeks pregnant following IVF, and am experiencing brown discharge on Crinone gel - am I miscarrying???

No need to worry! You can tell your wife that it is very common. The clumps are from the gel coming back out (my RE suggested removing it with a finger every few days to avoid the worst of this...plus it helps with absorption of the new gel). And the brown is just old blood, which is due to the crinone irritating the cervix a little. I had the same thing after my IVF two years ago and now have a happy, healthy toddler running around! My wife had similar Brown color clumps during 3-4 week. Then the clumps were white again from 5-7 week. Now in the 8 week the brown colour in the clumps is returning. She gets worried when the colour changes to Brown. Hoping and praying will be fine.

I had a 5 day transfer on June 5th, 2 blasts.  got my first BFP on day 4pt and everyday after that.  Iam on Crinone 8%.  Tonight while taking a shower the white clumps were brownish/pinkish color and I freaked out. Almost died, I thought AF was coming, went to the store and bought a HPT since I didnt test today and it was positive.  I went to google and searched for my symptons while using crinone 8% and your answers popped up.  Thank you!!!!! you ladies have no idea what a relief I got after reading you have experienced the same and are still healthy pregnant.  Thank GOD for this forums that help so much to find those answers we need so desperetly.  I appreciate every minute you all took to write about this, I owe every single one of you a good night sleep.  Happy and healthy nine months to the preggos ones and good luck to those that dont know yet.

I just wanted to update everyone that has the brown discharge on Crinone.  I'm now 20 weeks pregnant.  As soon as I stopped the gel, the brown went away.  I hope that, at least, calms your nerves a little.  I hope everything goes well.

I am also on the crinone gel and I am 9 weeks along following an embryo transfer on March 9th. I have noticed brownish clumps in the toilet after I urinate and also on the toilet paper after I wipe. I am going to ask the nurse about it at my appt tomorrow.

Thanks for that.  I have it too and I'm only 11 1/2 weeks.  I'm freaking out after 3 prior m/c.  
Due in October, so I'm glad to here that there are some that are going full term.

I experienced the same thing with Crinone.  Lasted the entire time I was using Crinone.  I am now 32 weeks pregnant so don't worry but it's always good to check things with your Ob

i experienced the same concern at 6 weeks. However the brown discharge ceased after a day or 2. But all is fine and now i am 17 weeks.

Have you made an appt with DR?  Discharge (brown is old blood) is normal in early pregnancy. Good luck!
