Dizziness go away!!

Im 8 weeks pregnant and can put up with the nausea, vomiting, constipation and sore breasts but, not this constant dizziness!  It's constant, not all the time light and makes every activity extremely difficult.  Im in nursing school and can't afford to be dizzy right now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this annoying symptom go away and preferably without a med that will knock me out?

I had the same thing and still do from time to time (I'm 11 weeks). I found that I wasn't keeping up with my increased fluid intake demands because of the nausea and vomiting. Also, my nausea was worsened by my constipation. I'm on Colace and Zofran now and the combo is really helping me stay hydrated. Good luck in nursing school! I'm a nurse and it was the best decision I ever made!

The light headed and dizziness has gotten progressively betther for me. Hopefully it will for you too!!

Amanda I'm glad you mentioned zofran. I'm a little over 8 weeks and my doc just prescribed it for me for the n/v. Everyone keeps telling me its linked to birth defects. Do you know anything about this?

I was dizzy a lot too. But I wasn't eating or drinking enough due to severe nausea and vomiting.  I started Zofran a week ago, and it had gotten a lot better. I still get dizzy sometimes, but my blood pressure is kind of low (90/60 last time I checked).
To MrsKiss zofran is safe during pregnancy.  It is rated pregnancy category b on a scale a, b, c, d, x. A and b are safe in pregnancy, X should never be taken during pregnancy.  (I am a pharmacist).
