I had an ectopic in 1987. I don't think they did the shot back then. I had part of my tube removed. I have never had a problem conceiving, I had a child in 2003. Good luck. I hope everything works out for you.
wow, i am sorry you had to go through all that. so happy for your new baby on the way!! thanks for some inspiration
I had an ectopic back in feb/march. I had two methotrexate shots but in the end my tube ruptured anyway and had to be removed. I am now 23wk4d pg. Also, my dh was on methotrexate (weekly) for several years for arthritis and psoriasis. The methotrexate did not effect his fertility either. good luck to you.
wow, congrats on both of your pregnancies. i hope that someone who has had the shot will respond too so i can get a good idea of how long it might take or that i might want to wait. my dr says two months and i am fine w/ that. good luck w/ the rest of your pregnancies. :)
I never had the shot but I did have to have my left tube cut open and the baby cut out. I also had a ruptured cyst and the whole thing was VERY PAINFUL. That was in May 31, I waited a while and then we tried again and I got pregnant in Aug. I am currently 11w5d and everything is going well. Now I am dealing with abdominal adhesions that will have to be taken care of after the baby is born. That too is very painful at times.
I wish you luck, but rest assured you can have a healthy pregnancy later. My thoughts will be with you!!!

I had 1 tubal, and 3 cornual ectopics. I have only 1 tube and had to get a cornual resection. This happened in a period of 3 years. I am now pregnant with a healthy baby at 8 weeks 5 days. By the way all my ectopics ruptured except for 1. I can't go into labor, but that's fine with me as long as I can have a healthy baby. I never had the shot because my hcg levels were too high or I already ruptured. So I am sorry I do not have any experience with that. But it is possible to have a normal pregnancy after the misery of ectopics, I am proof. Someone here should be able to give u some insight on the shot though. Good luck!
