Don't worry that much! I know many 40-year old women that had healthy babies after several miscarriages. From what country are you?
Hi, Im too having my sixth child. I havn't yet gone to my doctors yet. (JAN 23rd). Anyway I have had 5 miscarriages however not in a row. My last one was a miscarriage and this one is making me very nervous. I almost am assuming that I will loose this one too. I am almost 39 but my OB said that after 35 the eggs are more older but still good. She said at our age we do risk a little more for miscarriages. When do you go in for your appointment next?

If your egg has some sort of chromosomal abnormality your body will naturally miscarry and take care of the problem. If your pregnancy progresses naturally there is no reason to assume that based merely on your age there is something wrong with the egg. I have known several women who have had successful pregnancys and heatlhy babies at the age of 48. It's a good idea to have your prog. levels check. Good luck.
I am 40 and was told by my fertlility doc said that closer to 40 the eggs are more older but still good, however but some will not be fertile. He also said at our age we do risk have a higher risk for miscarriages, my OB/GYN said at 40 the miscarriage risk was 1:3. But once they see a heartbeat the odds go down significantly. Good luck at your next appointment.
Hi all
Thankyou for that . I live in spain and cannot see a doctor at the moment as my state health insurance has lapsed as i am out of work and i cannot afford private . There is no back up here . Iam retaiining a lot of fluid which i am taking as a good sign on progesterone as the last preg the doc said this was a sign of high progestrone (and constipation;nice) The preg test was very strong pos but i don't know .Hoping to get a scan somehow soon but routinely not till 12 weeks here and no exceptions after multiple losses. I worry though cos the first mc my body hung on to it till 12 wks even though it died at 5 judging by the size. Thank you all for the help
