Pregnancy Bra Size Question

I am 9w2d pg. My bra size has already increased by more than 1 size. How much more should I expect the size to increase? Does anyone know of "expandable" maternity bras? I don't want to invest in a few bras the next size up if I am going to need 2 cup sizes bigger in 2 weeks.

Thanks so much for any insight!

Even after my bbs size stopped growing my rib cage keeps expanding... at the maternity stores they have these extenders you can put in the back of your bra... it allows you like 5 more hook stettings... they are only like $5 or $10 dollars and you can take it off and on all your different bras...

I love it.. it allows me to breath again :)

Thanks so much! This topic was not covered in the What to Expect book.

I knew that I would increase in size, but I wasn't expecting it so quickly. I gained 5 lbs and went from a 34B to a 34C. And now I'm falling out of the 34C. I have been wearing my sports bras so I'll continue to do that, buy some of those tanks from Target, and buy 1-2 bras for outfits where the sportsbra and tank don't work.

I was like tbeards...went up a size during the first trimester and, so far, no more than that. I know with my other kids, I did increase a cup size after delivery - but that's when the milk came in and after 4-6 weeks they went back to normal (except when I didn't nurse or pump and they got engorged). I wouldn't invest a lot of money in any bras just yet...rather, I would buy bras with a lot of "give". Make sure they aren't padded, and buy cotton knit or microfiber. Those materials stretch a little more and you have about a cup size give either way (as long as the band measurement doesn't need to change much). Good luck!

I had (have) the same problem...I would buy sports bras up until my 2nd trimester, then I invested in some better bras from Motherhood Maternity...it's hard to say how much bigger you will get, without knowing what size you were prior to pregnancy, but you can usually count on being at least 2 cup sizes bigger when it's all said and done.  Good luck!

I wouldnt jump the gun yet...it would be a waste. Target sells nursing tanks that offer great support, come in a few colors, have a multi purpose(can use now and after baby...), and last but not least have good support and are 100% cotton, so they have GIVE . I think I paid like $15/per....not too bad

Personally, all of my increase was in the first trimester until delivery. I went up one cup size in the first trimester (from a C to a D) and then a good full size after delivery when my milk came in so yes, a size E! You should have seen the look on my dh's face when the woman at Motherhood Maternity said E. He didn't know they got that big : )

Everyone is different though. Some people keep getting bigger throughout the pregnancy and I think it is also dependent if you gain more than the recommendation.
