At about eight weeks i felt a gush of liquid and went to the bathroom and passed a large clot (which i thought was a miscarriage, but the doc later told me otherwise). I bled for about a week and then a week later the same thing happened. The bleeding starts heavy then tapers off to light pink but i have cramps and shooting pains at times in what i will call my cervix because it seems to come from there. Anyway, ultrasound shows the baby is fine but in the papers i got from t the er said  subchronioc hemorrhage. Im 38 years old and has anyone else heard of this? I would really appreciate any thoughts.

I had such bad cramping at 4-5 weeks with my first pregnancy that I thought I was miscarrying.  I went to the ER and everything checked out just fine. The cramping eased up in a couple of weeks. Congratulations!

I am 40 i had the same problem. I cramped for weeks. Doctor says it is usually normal. Uterus stretching and muscles.  I did have spotting weeks 5-7 and everything was okay. I am now 16 weeks.

I am 38 and almost 8 weeks.  I am still cramping.  My doctor said as long as I was not spotting to not worry and that there are a lot of changes going on inside me.  Keep in touch and let us all know how you do.  Hope all goes well.  Let me know.
