This happened to me before, it was determined to be a hydaditform molar pregnancy. Either the sperm or the egg had no chromosomal make up so no baby ever formed. I had to get a D & C done because the hcg continues to build which could cause major problems in my body!! I was soooo devastated. I got pregnant two months after that and had a miscarriage and then again 5 months later and finally carried my son to term!! This isn't always the case, sometimes your dates may be wrong and this could be the problem, keep us posted! I am praying for you!
As Stephie posted, you might be off on your ovulation day. I would hold onto the hope that there has been a change from 6.5 weeks to 7 weeks!
I honestly don't know the answer to that question. I wish I could say more to help you through this, but in all honesty, its a wait and see now. I know how stressful this is, waiting it out. Please let us know how you are doing, and know we are here to cheer you on or support you. Take care, you are in my thoughts.
i was told no heartbeat at almost nine weeks but im due back in next week for other scan is there hope or wishful thinkin how common is it not to hear heart at that stage
well you went from no yolk sac to a yolk sac,
your ovulation days might just be off.
this happened to me too... after seeing just the yolk sac, the following week just 7 days later, i saw a fetus with heart beat.
(this was after 2 miscarriages, and i was sure, because of only the yolk sac that it was happening again)
now i'm 35 weeks and 5 days! stephie
Was it a transvaginal ultrasound or an abdominal ultrasound? They can pick up a heartbeat earlier on a transvaginal, but still, its pretty early. There are lots of women here who have not seen a heartbeat until 9 weeks or so. I hope all turns out well for you.
Take care
i had a ultrasound to determine age after finding out that i am pregnant while on the pill yasmin. The ultrasound showed 7 weeks, however there was no heartbeat? i have not had any bleeding or cramps and still have sore breasts and nauses? Have i miscarried or is the baby still there?
In the very early stage of a pregnancy they measure the sac and from that they can tell pretty close the gestational age.
How do they measure that you are 7 weeks pregnant?
My doctor's office measures the baby from crown to rump for age, but how do they measure how pregnant you are without seeing the baby yet? If they are going by your last period and you ovulated later than average, you may not be as far along as they are predicting, so your baby may not yet be big enough for them to see in the u/s.
