Does stress affect your FSH or estradiol level test?
Does anyone know if stress affects these fertility tests? I finally had these tests done for the first time today and I was probably the most stressed I have been in I don't know how long. We have been doing a pretty major house remodel and it just keeps getting harder and harder to live in our house (especially with a curious, active 2 year old) I've had horrible insomnia and so stressed... hmmm, no wonder it has been a struggle to conceive!
Anyway, I remember hearing something about how stress affects the test results. Now on top of the house stress, I'm stressing that my tension will affect the numbers negatively.
Any insight would be helpful.
Not 100% sure, but common sense tells me stress affects our biological make up on all levels. Its a hormonal issue. When stress hormone are released it changes the bodies chemistry.
Speak to your DR if your results don't look right.
I agree with Lisa, I think stress impacts everything. That being said, just dealing with fertility and ttc is stressful, let alone all the other stuff you have going on. I too would make sure you let your Dr. know. Good luck Kara, I hope you get great news back!
