I am but I already was pre-baby. I take a prescription vitamin d once a week.
I'm really low on vitamin D too and the doctor prescribed me medicine that I have to take once a week for the next 8 months he wants to me take them even when I have my baby. They said it can bring on early miscarriage and it can do something to the baby's bones.
It has been linked to higher miscarriage rates, as well as increased risk of pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes and preterm birth. Doesn't mean any of these will be a problem for you, you just have a slightly higher risk. I was very depleted of vitamin D when I had my miscarriage, not sure if that's what contributed, but I took a supplement to boost it before this pregnancy and I'm fairly high now, so supplements seem to work well.
I had low vit D during my pregnancy and my doctor told me I needed a supplement. She said it made labor more painful. Here's a link you may want to check!

It's no big deal, you just have to take a supplement, no worries
Nature Made makes a yummy gummy vitamin D supplement. I buy gummy vitamins so I never forget to take them. They're like candies.
I was told I am low too .
I started taking Garden of Life Raw d3 before found out I was pregnant and I am still taking it. Great all natural company I take their Prenatal too all food source nutrients not artificially lab created. And has folate instead of folic acid which can be toxic to your system as Dr Joel Fuhrman says.
It can be. I was really low after my first child was born. This is truly a doc question though. Some studies have said the entire population of the Midwest is low because of the weather there & placement relative to the sun. The darker your skin the less sunshine that gets in and you have potentially low vitamin D. I'd have the level checked & talk to doc re result. I wouldn't start loading doses to catch up without doc advice.
