Placental abruption/tear

I am 9 weeks pregnant and i found out yeterday (after a trip to the ER 2 days ago) that i have a 2cm x 4mm tear in my placenta. I have two healthy girls ages 4 and 2 and had no problems what so ever in those pregnancies. My OB says that with 2 weeks of bed rest and taking it easy it should heal itself. After reading all of these post i really dont feel optimistic considering all of the women who follow doctors orders and still miscarry of have a preterm birth or low birth weight. Can anyone tell me if they've had positive results after a placental abruption??
