I remember the quickening feeling like a butterfly or even a goldfish swimming around (what reference should I have for that feeling!). How exciting for you! Congrats on your pregnancy - jen
thanks for the comments, i'll be 17 weeks on tuesday, so lets see if i start to notice it, i really can't wait to just see another ultrsound, i havent had one since i posted the last pic of it, i'm exiceted to see how the baby is growing, and i can't wait to find out what it is.
I honestly felt it around 16-18 wks and I thought it was just gas bubbles! But as you progress so will the feeling of movement...it will be a FULL ON flip, kick or hiccup. And the first time I felt hiccups was at like 20 wks and it was a really funny feeling. His entire body shakes for like 2 mins. CONGRATS.....THE FUN HAS JUST BEGUN!
Hello and congratulations!! Quickening is the first time you feel fetal movement!!! It's a beautiful feeling!! I felt movement "Quickening" about 16-17weeks in my 2nd trimester, and it felt like little taps or bubbles popping in my belly! It varies from woman to woman, and in your 1st pregnancy, you may not even know you're feeling it, causing concern if there's really life in there! But once you feel it, you'll get a sense--then anticipate more and more movement. As my son developed, his knees and elbows, were always right there!! So I would lightly tap a couple times, so delicately on my belly, then he would BAM!! Whack me good!! Enjoy it--it's absolutely amazing!!
