1 YEAR ON SINCE NEW ZEALANDS QUAKES

i know this is completely off topic, but i want people to be aware of whats going on here in new zealand christchurch today. Today is our 1 year anniversary of our tragic 6.3 magintude earthquake which killed almost 200 people and has left our city in ruins. Today emotions here are high you see people standing on corners hugging and crying kids bawling there eyes out going to school, people sitting on the side walk in the middle of streets reading the special newspaper brough out today. and not one road cone surrounding the damaged buildings the broken street we cant use not one with out a flower in it. Our quake happened at 12.51pm 22nd feb 2010 it runined alo0t of lifes and homes and has feared alot of peope. I would really appreciate every1 that reads this to take 2 mins of silence with our country to remember those who were lost and the families who have suffered.

We will get there. but have a very long way to come yet. Christchurch is my home town and i will be staying here it is so heart breaking to even see these images a year later. to sit here and remember what i was doing this time last year. Memories that will never leave my mind or my heart. R.I.P to the 185 people who were tragically killed amoungst this disaster

My in laws were recently on a vacation through Australia and new Zealand. They went through Christchurch and said it was heart breaking. Seeing the pictures they brought back made me cry because of the devastation. I pray for you guys and hope you will be able to repair the damages.

I dont know what to say. I will take a moment for sure. It was a huge tragedy. I am sorry u had such a horrible experience happen over there.
