30 wks pregnant with a hernia..

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I am 30 weeks pregnant, During my 2nd pregnancy I developed a unbilical hernia, because i didnt have any pain, and it went down is size after the pregnancy my doctor said the surgery was needed unless i wanted it, My son is now 5, and Im pregnant again, i havent had any problems with it until today. To the touch, and to get up and down is almost like a very very sore feeling. Just sitting here Im fine but if i lay down and try to get up, or touch it it really hurts. Yesterday for the 4th of july i did a lot of walking, and its very hot, Im not sure if that would bother it today or not. Im also feeling a littlle nausea. Im very worried, I see my doctor on Friday, Can some one please help me out, if anyone knows about it or has had it. Will i and is it ok for surgery during pregnancy? Please help!!!!

I had an umbilical hernia with my 3rd pregnancy. I was told they wouldnt do surgery while I was pregnant unless it became strangled. I had surgery about 2 months after my son was born. I got pregnant a few weeks later and went on to deliver my 4th child without difficulties.
The surgery itself didnt take long and I left the same day. You are told to do no lifting afterwards. The insiion is maybe 1.5 inches long and kinda curved like a smiley face smile. Depends on the docotr that does the surgery but I had a mesh because I knew we were going to have another baby soon (didnt think it would be that soon though)
I would say take it easy and after your baby is born have the surgery. You will want to consult with a surgeon now and plan the date for after baby.
Good luck! I know how painfull they can be:~(
