Honestly it could go either way. With my first pregnancy I barely spotted for 1 day and found out a couple weeks later I had miscarried. My next pregnancy I started bleeding at 5w3d worse than a period and bright red. It continued like that for 5 weeks and then suddenly just stopped. My daughter is now 4. There are lots of different reasons bleeding occurs in early pregnancy, a miscarriage being just one. I would not recommend going to the hospital though unless the bleeding is so severe you are soaking 3 pads in an hour. The reason I say this is because they are not trained obgyns and will only be able to tell you that it is a "threatened miscarriage" which is what they say about anyone who bleeds in early pregnancy. I was actually told by them to expect a miscarriage and it never happened. Wait for your doctor on Monday, they will be able to give you a lot more info.
Hey dear, I read your post in the November due date forum. And I felt my heart breaking for you with what you are feeling right now. Light spotting is normal in early pregnancy. Just keep an eye on it. If you see the blood becoming darker in color like you would have during your regular cycle, accompanied by severe cramps then that is a sign of a possible miscarriage. But just like they said, kick your feet up and try to relax. Take your vitamins, drink plenty of water, and try to sleep. If your having trouble getting to sleep its completly safe to take benadryl. I did that last night cause I have a sore throat and ear infection and pregnancy limits the type of medicine you can take. Just hang in there and I'm sure everyone that has posted will keep checking in here to see how you are doing. You won't be alone through this dear.
Thanks everyone. I'm still nervous but trying to stay super calm. It's really hard to when you have the thought of losing your baby in your head. It's scary actually....
Did she have white discharge or spotting?
When my wife miscarried, she had sharp cramping along with a discharge. It's crazy cuz most of the signs for miscarriage are deemed to be normal. Just try to stay calm and relax. I'm sure that u are fine.
I'm in the same boat with you hunny ...I don't have an answer but I will pray for you. ...all I can say is every one is telling me to stay calm.. .clearly not easy but its the best were can do.. ...hope everything works out for both of us.. ...
