Well I'm now expecting my 4th child but I had low amniotic fluid with my 1st baby who is now 9 yrs old. I'm also diabetic & I was also admitted into the hospital for a w/end. This was when I was about 32 wks ir so, while in the hospital I was placed in a Jacuzzi 2ce & my fluid levels went up. So I was discharged. My doc told me that swimming really helps jeep the fluids up, so I def recommend swimming! I do remember my doctor also trelling me that I'd necessary she would induce me at 36 wks. Which is fill term. Luckily that didn't happen cuz swimming & the Jacuzzi really helped. But make sure the water isn't hot if you decide for the Jacuzzi.
Are you having swelling? If you had to be stuck so many times for an iv maybe you are dehydrated. That doesn't mean you're not drinking water, but sometimes the water will seep out into your tissues (which is why I ask about the swelling). If you can, id switch doctors, I don't care if I was 37 weeks or not, I can not tolerate rude obnoxious behavior. She sounds like she needs a class on manners and proper bedside manor.
Can u ask to see another doc?
Yea even the nurses say I should just have him but my doc. Wants to wait it out .. I hope my baby doesnt suffer for this doctors stupidity other wise im gunna press charges most deff. Idk if im being over dramatic but im just so worried for my baby
37 weeks is DEFINITELY appropriate, especially with low fluids to have the baby now!
The rudness I can handle but what s getting to me is dont tell me my baby is in distress but than tell me basically your not going to do anything about it exept wait it out im considered full term and im suppose to have a csection either way so I dont see why she is keeping my baby in if its harmful to him.. More harmful than letting him out a couple weeks early :(
I had about 10 ultrasounds total throughout my pregnancy, if they feel the benefits outweigh the risks, then they'll do it. If your fluid is low that is definitely cause for many ultrasounds, you don't want to run completely out of fluid, because that is verry dangerous for baby, but in this case, I would definitely be questioning everything she does, and says because she obviously is in the wrong field of work if shes that rude!!
Ya not to mention I have 7 wholes in my arm because of all the iv they are doing to me every other day and iv had 12 ultrasounds which I know is NOT good for my baby
Id talk to someone above her as well that's not ok at all. I gave birth to an extremely healthy baby boy at 37 weeks so she is a quack!
I would definitely speak to someone above her, that is unprofessional and RUDE, you need to feel comfortable with the person taking care of your child. If you can't find someone above her, speak to her, tell her you are being rude, and you need to stop, NOW! I'm so sorry you have to go through that hun! :(
So I asked my doc. If its causing my baby disttess why not get him out and she kept rolling jer eyes and goes "you seem to kno everything,so you would kno full term is anything after 40 weeks not 37 ur baby will not be able to breath" and so I jus left it alone but she was still giving me so much additude and was really rough doing my iv :( I feel like sh!t I jus want my baby out and healthy but my doc. Is a rude quack!!
