I just went to dr today and I am 38 weeks and 2 days. Dr said my cervix was still high but is softening...wat am I supposed to think?? Any help?

Don't read into the cervical changes (or lack thereof). You can be tight and closed and go into labor in a matter of hours. Or you can be dilated and effaced for weeks (like I was).

When I went into labor with my son, my cervix was still closed and I was not dialated at all! Everything went fine, I went to exactly 40 weeks. He was born the day before his due date lol. You'll be fine but if you're still worried like Lance06 said, you should talk to your doctor about it.

It means that there is some progession but that you are dilated yet.....hang in there. Many woman go overdue and sometimes, your progession comes quickly without even knowing it. You should address your concerns with your doctor.
