Hello all,

So last month my girlfriend didnt tell me she started her birth control three days after she ended her pack before. We had sex the day after the last pill of the first pack. I did not go in her. I got real anxious that maybe she could be pregnant. When it came time for her to get her period she said it was light but she has been on the pill for years and it is usually light. I know having a light period can be a sign of pregnancy. So now this is about 7 weeks later and she woke up this morning and threw up and has had sharp stomach pains all day. Could she be pregnant? Or is being on the pill and having your period no matter if its light proof you arent pregnant?

So in a follow up to your answer above. My gf ended up missing her next period but took two pregnancy tests and they were both negative. Are we in the clear or could there still be concern. I thought maybe the screw up in taking the birth control could have caused the missed period.

Im also one of thoes who got pregers on the pill even when taking it every dam day :/ but its ok cause im glad i have my lil girl <3 shes now 2 weeks old :)..... good luck either way

Yes many women get pregnant on the pill im one of them lol but the bests way to find out is for her to take a test

It's hard to say. Many women have gotten pregnant while on the pill so it is possible. She's better off taking a test to make sure.

I appreciate the help. Guess Im just gonna have to do it. Would you say the chances would be low though or tough to tell?

Birth control can change girl's period in many different ways and is different for everyone. But if I were you I'd get a pregnancy test and ask her to take it. They are cheap and are usually found in the feminine section (near the tampons) or buy the lube and condoms, depending on the store. Its best to find out asap so you know what your options are. Girls can still get preggers from pre-*** so even if you pulled out there is a chance.. good luck

The only way to know is for her to take a test or for her to go see her doctor.
