Anyone else have this experience?!

I've been avoiding meat basically since I was about 5 weeks pregnant. At that time I had some meat and it did not agree with me AT ALL, I ended up in the bathroom the entire rest of the day! So since then I've been avoiding meat altogether and it's been fine but now I'm CRAVING a burger. Not just a burger but a bacon cheese burger!?! I'm SOOOO nervous to have even a turkey burger because what happened the last time I ate meat. I'm now 10 weeks and I've stopped feeling nauseous for the most part unless I'm really hungry. Before I had not been thowing up/vomiting regularlly just felt sick (except that one day :/) so I don't want to make myself feel sick again and I also don't want to spend another day in the bathroom. Has anyone else felt like this or had this happen and they ended up eating meat and being fine? I know every women is different I just wanted to see what everyone else has experienced.

I had a really hard time with chicken during the first trimester.. I would gag on it al the time...  i ate alot of eggs to get my protein fix, i still do at times.....  But things did get better.. Now fish seems to be the only thing I am really turned off of still...

Might as well try...  I got really sick off tacos one day at work and i was afraid to try them again but the enxt time (which was weeks down the line) it was no issue...

Thanks ladies! I think I am going to go out this weekend and have a burger then!!! I'm porbably a little too excited for it!! I really think I have been very lucky with this pregnancy my "morning sickness" has been very manageable so I couldn't be happier about that!

justice6920 - We are due around the same time. They told me two dates that I would be due, the first time they told me I was due on 2 Mar 2012 and the second time they told me was due 4 Mar 2012. So either way we are close!

I couldnt do meat either during the first trimester! Chicken was usually fine for me, but for some reason if it was beef, just the sight of it made my skin crawl. If your craving it, I would try it!

I could't handle meat my first trimester either.  But once the second trimester hit and my nausea was gone, I had a burger for almost every meal.  (Bad, I know!  But it's all I craved!!)

I have been the same way and think we are probably due around the same time... I am due March 5th. I absolutely could NOT stand the site, smell, or taste of meat... I have noticed tho lately (after starting to feel a bit better) that I have been wanting a big juicy burger ( even when I was not pregnant I would hardly EVER eat a burger). I do know that your body will crave what it needs (protien). I would go ahead and try it! It might just be the best burger of your life!
