Anyone know about Lyme's Disease?
Just a question. My mom was just diasgnosed with Lyme's and was trying to get pregnant one last time after my brother(which has been little over 6 years now.) She has had multiple miscarriages that no one could explain. she has maybe had 6 or 7. A friend of hers also has Lyme's and had multiple miscarriages and eventually gave up and adopted. Can that disease cause you not to become pregnant or miscarry? Is there anything she could do at this point? Jsut curious. I don't know much about it. Thanks.
I happen to be a RN and I know that your mom will need to find an ob that is familiar with lime disease during pregnancy. I found this abstract from an article on lyme disease and pregnancy it says,
" In some instances, Lyme disease has resulted in miscarriages, birth defects, and other problems. Mosquito bite and other insects do not seen to spread Lyme.".
