I moved in with my boyfriend, now husband, when I was 20, but I have friends in their 20s with babies who still live at home. If you need to stay with your mom for a while do it while you can, so you can save up money to get your own place. don't worry about anyone else's oponion.
Every situation is unique. My husband and I are also 22 and we rent a large home, have a roommate, and 4 dogs. We make enough to live on our own but it takes me working full time and my husband working 3 part time jobs.
I am 22 also and 27w5d with my first me and my fiance moved about last October into an apartment and then found out in April we were pregnant it is a little tough now that the babys coming and considering I lost my job but we are getting through it. Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with living with parents although it ***** because of privacy and there rules and everything but definitely save money first if they are willing to let u stay witht hem and if you really want to moveout there are options depending on your exact situation either way everything will always workout for you in the end goodluck with everything and congrats on the little one:)
With my first I was 17 and lived on my own. I was 18 when I had my second and actually lived with my mom I moved back because me and my kids dad split. But when my second was 1 I had my own place and have ever since she is now about to be 6. But as though you feel you need to be in your own don't rush it! I'd rather live with my mom then not be able to afford it and struggle.
Appreciate all your inputs ladies. Glad to read alot of you did it on ur own even with a baby. And I know @kmommy2b situations happen in life that get in the way but Im sure your meant to be somewhere else than that place you were previously employed at. (: @ashleypaige06 Nursing! Congrats that truly is a job meant for ppl with kind hearts. Im a Medical Assistant and hope to go for my Nursing next fall. Your right though I feel the same towards renting! Im saving every penny I can bcus I just want a home to call my own. In time, in time:) We definately need better paying jobs if we want to get there. After my birth I plan on finding a better paying job. Thank you for your comments
I've been living on my own since 19
I lived in my dads house with my first 2 and then my dad bought me a house to get us out ;-) he didn't care but his new wife wasn't going to have it! Now, #3 will be here on Monday and I'm almost 25... I've been on my own since 23
All depends. I moved out and into my first apt with my fiance a week after my 19th bday. Had my daughter exactly 2 years later (I'm 21) and we're moving into our first home next month.
Girl im in the same situation! i go to college and just lost my job and im having a baby in 2 months.. my bf works two jobs and we still cant afford to move out! it frustrates me so much because i wana be on my own but these days its so expensive. We are at his parents until we can get it straightened out. im also 22 and he is 26
Im 22 and my fiance is 25. Im 17 weeks along n we are closing on our first home on sept 20th. Granted I just graduated with my bachelors degree un may and am working as a full time nurse. I hate renting, I feel like its a waste of money since you arent usually able to save and usually your rent pays more than the mortgage n the landlord is making a profit off your renting. Dont rush is though, you dont want to put yourself in a position that youre living paycheck to paycheck
Im 18 and my boyfriend and i have our own apartment. We moved out as soon as i graduated. He has a nice paying job so that really really helps. And of course i work too. However, i wouldnt rush into moving out unless youre a 100% you can afford it. Its really not a big deal that youre staying with your parents.
I was 17 when I had my first sooo I was at my moms then I had my second baby at 21 by that time I had my own three bedroom house and stuff. If u guys want ur own space u should look into a single apt theybare usually 500 bux utilities included I mean ig u want ur own space.
Everyone is different with my first I say I turned 18 in June and got my first apt that nov. I couldn't do it after I had my daughter staying at my moms I always heard complains and bein told what to do with my own child. I was working and got a apt for 400 a month. Now Im 21 I live on my own still I have a 3 year old and a baby boy on the way. And it's just the 3 of us :) I like it that way.
