Yes this is a medical forum but we all are women and most of us are mothers so in alot of ways we can all relate to one anothe. I have posted off topic questions on here many times because, yes I have never met any of these women but I trust their opinions. As long as you make an effort to encourage him to see your son, you can't force him. When your son gets older he will make the choice of what kind of relationship he wants to have with his father. My father left my mom when she was 6 weeks pregnant with me. The last time i saw him he had gotten married to a woman that had 6 kids that weren't his and he was taking care of them. I chose from that day on to never ask about him again. I was 9 years old. We moved to Texas 3 months later and i haven't seen or heard from him since.

I can't stand my oldest 2 kids dad either. My only advice tho us no matter ur thoughts on him or how bad things get never use ur child as away 2 get back at him and never talk bad about him 2 ur child as he gets older. There will b times ur heart will break cause the look on ur child's face cause of the broken promises u just have 2 b there and let them know how special they r 2u. Its hard being a parent even more a single mother but just raise him 2 b the man u would have needed ur baby daddy 2 b. That way there will b less sorry men in this world

After I had my first daughter I left her father. He was a POS and I knew that what was best for us was to get away from him. Since then we have a custody agreement that he can see her 2 days of every month. She is now 4 and he hasn't come once. In fact he's letting my husband adopt her. If your ex doesn't want to be part of you or your sons life put him behind you and move on. Eventually you'll find someone who will.
