Back after a long hiatus! Question about M/S

Hey ladies!  It's been a while since I've posted, but since **I'm pregnant** again (yay!), I wanted to stop by and get some of your opinions on what to do to ease this awful nausea!

First of all, haven't told anyone aside from DH and a couple friends ... so mums the word ... especially if I talk to you on FB!  =D

Alright ... been *super* nauseous so far.  I'll be about 8 weeks pg tomorrow ... I just don't remember my nausea being so bad when I was pg with my DS.  I've reduced how much I eat ... trying to take sips of my drink when I feel nauseous and it makes it go away for about a minute, then it's back.  Bleh.  I've even tried chewing gum ... which helps as long as I'm chewing it.  Afterwards, the nausea is back with a vengeance.  I'm not big on ginger ale ... so that's a no go for me.  Any kinds of tea that would help?

Any of your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!  On the upside, at least I know that if I'm feeling this gross, my little bean should be just fine in there!!

Great to be back ... missed you gals!

I found cold water helps as long as I'm drinking it but not once I stop.  Napping actually helps a lot - my office has a nurses station with a bed which they let employees use - the naps wear off after an hour or two though.

If you find anything that works _please_ post - there are only so many naps a responsible worker can take in a day!

Michele ~ Along with my m/s (all day sickness too!  lol), I have constipation and indigestion ... so definitely don't want anything that keeps me from going!!  lol  I've heard about peppermint and I saw that ice cream they were selling, so maybe I'll have to try it out!  Hopefully it's still around even tho Christmas is over.

Laura ~ LOL, thanks for the grats.  =D  We were trying, but not really trying.  Months ago we'd talked about having a second child and I wanted him/her to be born in August under the sign of Leo (like DH).  But with our current housing situation we put it off ... and truthfully, I didn't think I was pregnant b/c my cycle before this one was 40-something days long!!  I'd never had one that long ... so I checked my ovulation schedule for the following month and we BD'd accordingly.  But my cycle must have shortened again 'cause here I am 8 weeks pregnant!  And yes, Jaiden will be 1 on Saturday, so this is definitely going to be interesting with two babies!!  =D  I'm excited tho and really, really hoping for a girl!!  =D

Johanna ~  Thanks!  I'm sorry your m/s lasted so long ... I think I remember mine only lasting a few months, but I don't remember it being this bad.  I know if I got thru it once, I can do it again ... it just stinks!!

Hey Girl, have missed you around here.  I actually had a baby in Sept.  She will be 4 months old in 3 days!!  She's a cutie!!!

I get horrible nausea (I won't say morning sickness since I have it all freakin day), until I am around 14 or 15 weeks along.  It's just horrible and w/ my last one, I even ended up in the hospital when I was about as far along as you.  I can give you some suggestions but for me, it really didn't work.  Only time worked w/ me.  If you are a SAHM, at least that is something.  I am now, but I wasn't when I was pregnant.

Okay, there is a tea that is made by the Republic of Tea.  It is a Peach/Ginger flavor and it helps some.  You can, of course, drink it cold or hot.  I also recommend eating Peppermint ice cream.  I know Blue Bell only sells it during the holidays but you can get it from Baskin Robins or Marble Slab, etc. all year long.  Small frequent meals are also recommended.  I know that was hard but the more empty your stomach, the worse the nausea is.  But I couldn't even hold down a popsicle.  There are also very safe medications.  There is Phenergan.  But, that one makes you very sleepy.  Or, there is Zofran.  The only draw back for Zofran is that it constipates you.  And I was already having trouble w/ that with being pregnant and then not eating on top of that.  Add Zofran to that mix, and I was really, ummm, stopped up.  Sorry.  TMI but it's the truth!

I have to say that even w/ all of this, I suffered a great deal but these things very well may help you.  I know I am leaving things out, but if I think of anything else, I will let you know!

Oh, glad to have you back and a big congrats!!!!
