Happend a while ago..but very much on my mind being I have no answers..So PLEASE try and answer all im asking the best you can PLEASE!
Anyways I was on the pill for 3 years. Had a perfect 28 day cycle..ect. Well I started my period on August 28th 2008. Its ended as normal and I started a new pack of pills on the sunday..as normal. WELL. About 2 or 3 days into the pack I started bleeding super super heavy. Tons of clots. But NO pain. I figured it was something to do with my pills so I called my doc and he told me to stop taking them and he will put me on somthing new. So I did. Well the bleeding was so heavy but only lasted about 3 days I think. Well when it stopped I had sex which was on September 5th. And again on the 7th. And not again till September 16th and the 17th. Well I ended up missing my period on September 25th. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative! I took one everyday..finally a weeks after my missed period it was still negative so I gave up..well I had some more test left over so i kept testing..Finally got a faint positive test on October 8th. So yes I got pregnant. Anyways based on my lmp My due date is June 4th 2009. But I had like 4 ultrasound done by 4 different doctors before my 12 week mark and they all dated my due date at June 15th 2009.
SO my question is I guess could I have been pregnant before all the bleeding? If I was wouldnt the dating be very different? Wouldnt the HGC levels be different. Cause my first doctor appt they were very low he said. Also I had a large yolk sac. So How about if i lost a twin?? My doctor was never able to tell me what the bleeding was I had because I never went to him for that. But if it was a twin I lost Wouldnt it have showed up? When could I have ovulated? I had a perfect 28 day cycle..so why wouldnt they be using my lmp dating
Now im 32 weeks with a healthy baby growing inside. But I think about this everyday. being a first time mom im kind of in the need to know as much as possible to understanding the pregnancy.
The bleeding was probably from your bc pills. Don't beat yourself up over something that you would have ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OVER! Lots of things can cause your yolk sac to be a little bigger. The important thing is that you have a healthy baby growing and thriving. If something did happen, and it turns out that you actually did lose a baby, there is nothing that anyone (you or your doc) could have done. Your body knows how much you can handle. There could have been something genetically wrong with the other baby and that's what causes the majority of miscarriages. I am sorry for what you are feeling... I've had two miscarriages myself and the pain is unbearable but it gets better with time. I hope you feel better! Good luck with your baby!
something very simalur happened 2 me with my second child. I took a test 1 wk after my missed period and it came back possitive so workin from my period dates i was 5 wks gone then at 6 wks i stood up and the blood flew from me over the top of my pants and everything so i went 2 the toilet and when i sat down i heard something plop down the toilet i looked though i could'nt c as there was 2 mich blood but i never had any pain then i wiped myself and i noticed this blood clot6 about 1 inch in size and it was the shape of it that i noticed it was fetal shaped i called the hospital and they booked appointment for ultra sound i was devistated going for as i new that was a baby that i lost but there on the screen was my other baby with her heart beatin like crazy. i carried on bleeding for another 2 months but the scan showed i was further along my pregnancy. hope this is some help 2 u
Thing was with all that bleeding I never went to the doctor...I had no pain so I figured it was my birth control pills. But when I did find out about a month later I was pregnant and I went to the doctor there was no baby and my hgc were low..I went back in a weeks and there was a small tiny sac with my dot of a baby in it. So if it was a twin then when i went to the doctor the baby i have now would have shown up bigger right? like should that i was further along?
BCP are known for causing irregular bleeding and lots of women have their due changed b/c of u/s. If you Dr. didn't say you lost a twin then I would believe it was r/t to the BCP. stop worrying. best wishes for a healthy baby.
