Yes, after delivery your body begins producing new hormones to begin milk production. Mine came in about 2-3 days after delivery. But you should still let the baby nurse as soon after delivery as possible. This will stimulate your body to produce more milk in order to meet the demand of your baby.
Okay, thanks everybody. & yeah maybe its time for the breast pads...lol.
i first leaked at 29 weeks !! very little noticed when my bf squeezed my boob lol
I never leaked during my first pregnancy and was quite surprised to develop little wet spots on my shirt starting last week (@ 22 weeks)!
I started leaking the clear stuff at 17 weeks. i was very early im now 22 weeks. but yes milk does come till after baby is born
This is a trick question lol... i think your meaning colostrum when you say milk but everyone is different and some woman can even be delayed to produce the colostrum (ex. my friend had a c section and her body didnt clue in right away..im not talking milk...she was right empty-no colostrum...couldnt even pump, but i think thats pretty rare) i in my last pregnancy was pretty early when i noticed some leaking... but saying that its never too early to buy breast pads just incase! and dont try to express it before delivery... oh and dont cheap out on the breast pads, i bought the cheapest i think walmart brand and they are kinda bunchy and you dont want 2 big circle imprints showing off your boobs lol so i stick with good brand names :) and yes if you are talking milk after delivery it can take a few days to kick in, but like a prev post said it can come in like crazy when it does... so yep breast pads are your friend :)
I had a leak also but doesnt mean milk is gonna come out. My nurse told me 5 days after delivery just needs to be patience once it's out ur gonna have a lot milk;)
@ kelsebby you may be leaking but thats not your actual milk, its called colostrum, you will not get any real milk in until after you baby is born.
22 weeks n 2 days and I'm leaking already
your actual milk doesnt come in until a few days after baby is born.... Until then you produce colostrum (i believe thats how its spelled)
This is a good question.. I would also like to know the answerd to.
