I know how you feel i was on depo-provera for 2 and a half years and have been ttc for the same length of time, my partner and i have both been to a fertility specialist and have both been given the all clear no problems it's just not happening.
After coming off of depo i had a regular period for 9 months and then it disappeared for 2 months i was also very irregular, i then went onto bc pills for 2 months and have had a regular cycle since Jan 2009.
In scotland a doctor won't do fertility tests on you unless you have been ttc for 2 years or more, if i was you i would see a fertility specialist both yourself and your partner just incase, otherwise just keep doing what your doing and it will eventually happen. i wish you all the luck in the world
you said your AF's were regular but did you take the B/C pills for 3 months b4 this TTC? i really did hear its recommended!! I didnt know had NO IDEA! and im almost 7 yrs past my last shot and i am SOOOO having he$$!! if AF is on time thats good but take the above poster advice chart and all that make your are O'ing!! Are you having ANY CM signs? stupid depo takes that away! like i said going on 7 yrs since last shot and just this month did i see the best CM EVER!!!
I do think the CM is important if you are not getting good fertile CM start taking Evening Primrose Oil or Fertil-Aid something to help! It's taken me MONTHS! I have tried everything but with Soy Iso and EPO combined my body really seems to balance out!
You dont have to give up but with Depo shots it is one he$$ of a battle!! Figure out your cycles if you are O'ing if you have CM, your Luteal phase (mine was horrible b4 starting herbs) everything! Then you have to figure out what herbals you need do you need you cycles extended? do you need more CM? does your LP need to increase? It is very hard but dont give up we all want our lil miracle so keep trying!! If you need more info on herbals to help just PM me i can give you info for each one!!
Have you tried charting?? OPK's?? I know you said you have tried on the days your Dr says are best... but is this based on the "average women's" cycle or your own personal cycle?? Although its said that "most women" ovulate on day 14 of their cycle I have found from talking to several women TTC that this is not necessarily true for all of us. I know that I learned A LOT about my body once I started using OPK's. There are several different types that you can use... there are the digital tests, internet cheap tests, the fertility monitor by clear blue easy, and then there are saliva tests and something called the ov watch. I'm sure if you research you will find the one thats right for your price range and life style. There are several different sites you can chart on as well... medhelp I believe is one of them. I would recommend that if you want to try charting you invest in a basil thermometer (under $10 at target), and then its just checking cervical position and fluids, and symptoms. If you have not tried either of these methods I would recommend using both at once for optimum results. Also... one of the most important things to remember is to relax and have fun (I know its easier said than done), sometimes stress can keep us from conceiving.
If you have already tried these options and have been actively trying for a year I would suggest speaking with your Dr again regarding whether any medications may be appropriate for your situation.
Good Luck!! Keep us updated!! Sending LOTS of sticky baby dust your way!!
