Can You Get Pregnant If You Miss A Period?

HI ladies, might be a stupid question but if you miss a period and have unprotected sex in the mean time can you still get pregnant?
I am aware you need to ovulate but what if you dont no whether you have ovulated?
and what are the chances of missing period and getting pregnant?

It is completely possible, I am proof. I have extremely irregular periods, I usually bleed every three months (haven't had one since May '09)  and got pregnant sometime mid-July and am now in my 8th week. I found out by surprise when I was at the doctor's trying to get my cycles regular after trying for 1.5 years with these irregular cycles. Although many people will tell you that you can't ovulate, it is possible that you do sometimes ovulate without a bleed, in which case you could get pregnant.

hi well like i have posted before i have always been regular every 26 / 28 days but not this time
just wanted to no if i could still get pregnant if i missed a period.

If you are irregular than the earliest you should test is 19 days from the last time you had unprotected sex! Good luck!

thanks for reply its just i am on my 51day and no period done several test all say negative- but we have been having regular sex (no protection)!!!!!!!
i looked on several websites to track ovulation and they say certain dates where i should have ovulated and we have had intercourse. so i dont no if iam pregnant when i would have cought or anything so i dont no when to do further test? any ideas?
