I was having active labor and didn't even know! My belly was tightening and it felt like a rock then it would go soft then again but it wouldn't stop. No pain no nothing. My husband took me to the e.r. just in,case and I was surprised I was having real contractions 5 mins apart then later 3 mins. And I was dilated a 3 cm.,

They say your stomach will not tighten if it's Braxton hicks. Also Braxton his you can walk them off. Waking makes real contractions stronger.

@proudftmtete , that's what I'm getting and I think their  contractions , was it like the baby head was dropping down so it cause a sharp pain in your vag ?

No , they stopped it must been just some Braxton hicks with the baby moving down . Because it didn't feel like period cramps at all.

My contractions are never super painful until my water breaks. They get super super tight and extremely uncomfortable with a whole lot of pressure. Are they time-able?
