Charlie horses. !! Aka leg cramps

I'm pregnant with my first child.(girl) I'm 36 weeks this Friday .. Due July 18(32 days to go).... And every night for the last 3 days I've been getting leg cramps at night when I'm sleeping.. Last night I even got it in both legs at the same time. Anyone else experience this before or going through it now.. Why an I getting them and how can I get them to stop happening..?? One of my customers told me to eat a banana at least one a day .. Something to do with the baby taking potassium from my body.. Is this true?? Please help!! Thanks

I am due July 11th with a little GI and am having the same problem! And they are like the mother of all leg cramps! Freaking terrribl, aweful monsters. I was told to intake more water and eat bananas. So I have been. But i havent felt much change. From what I understand its pretty common during pregnancy. No fun!

36 weeks as well with a boy, due July 11th! I had a leg cramp not too long ago that was so bad I wanted to cry! I ate a banana which I hate, a couple more over the next week, and now I still eat one every now and then but I haven't had a leg cramp since.

If you get them when your sleeping, don't rotate your foot at the ankle... Instead, flex your foot up towards your head. If that makes sense.

Yep it's pretty normal unfortunately :/ haha and yes either eat something with potassium or take a potassium vitamin. And a magnesium vitamin helps too. Me, I took magnesium every night and drank ALOT of water. Dehydration can cause them. I don't get them anymore.
