Contractions??

Sorry this may sound stupid.. but wat are contractions? how do they feel? how will i knw that m having contractions.
.
m a very active person been on foot all this pregnancy so pain is a normal thing for me.. hav a high tolerance for pain.. m worried i might not knw m contracting and wont take it serious..m help!

i guess i got an idea of wat it is.. but will nevr knw till it starts....waiting for my labor to start as m seriously fed up by now...

And into my thighs! But yeah, whether it "hurts" or not, which it will most likely... You'll still know it's happening. I honestly thought of the pain as an extremely bad back spasm or passing the largest kidney stone in the world.

When you et contractions it's actually your uterine muscles contracting to push the baby down and out. Even if you have a high pain tolerance you'll still be able to feel it happening. Everyone's contractions feel differently though but your tummy will for sure begin to harden with pain or an uncomfortable feeling. For me, my contractions hardened my tummy but only hurt in my back but the further along I got and the more I dilated,

You will feel your stomach get tight like really tight. Sometimes you feel it in your bottom or lower back and trust me YOU'LL KNOW.  They hurt. You'll feel them every 5 mins or less. Sometimes you'll feel like tour stomach get really tight with no pain that's what happened to me once. But if you feel discomfort every 3-5 mins apart most likely its contractions.
