Could I be? What are your thoughts?

So my husband and I have been TTC for almost 8 months. I recently started tracking my BBT and this month we did the BD 3 days before ovulation, 1 day before ovulation and the day of ovulation.  About 9 DPO it looked like my temp was going to start going down because I got a reading of 98.13, the next day however my temp was back up to 98.33. I am now at 14 DPO and my BBT is still rising, this morning is was 98.56. I have starting getting a lot of symptoms much like my period is going to start. For example, cramps, bloating, etc. I have been very tired and have an achy back. For the past couple of days, I have had a tin like taste in my mouth that comes and goes and I frequently wake up with heartburn but it subsides once I get up. I keep going to the bathroom expecting to find AF waiting for me but nothing!!! The issue I am having is that my cycle tends to be long at 40-42 days so my period is not due until around Sunday or Monday. I never usually get these symptoms until literally the day before or the morning of my period. I don't want to get my hopes up but I am not sure what it could be. The main thing is that my BBT has been rising and not lowering, and it has been up for 14 DPO. Anyway, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to what it could be. I know what I hope it is but I don't want to be let down again.

CONGRATS SHANNON TO YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND!!!!  Eight months of waiting and BAM it's here!!  Most of the time couples just don't know how to track and it's so cool that you could do this and look back and remember what you did for next time!  I kept track of my cycles and ovulation too even though my chances of conception were very low... being with a man who has proven 3 times over that he is VERY fertile I thought it was best to keep close eye... it only took 2 cycles.. really only one because we were not TTC the first month.  Anyhow, my sister is now trying for her second baby and I am helping her with her with keeping track with the ovulation days... but her periods are not regular so we need to learn how to check her temps.  This is soooo awesome!!!

Thanks for the congrats!!! I am thrilled more than I can even comprehend. I had been reading about that metal taste from other posters and then I looked it up and it can be an early pregnancy symptom. I have a good feeling for you as well; keep me posted when you find out. Congraulations Shannon so the metal taste in your mouth if definitely a positive sign huh! If that is the case I can go ahead and take the test because I get up every morning with that disgusting taste in my mouth. I have been having the aches in my neck and back plus a little cramping and the nasty taste in my mouth but no nausea or vomiting just feeling a little dizzy and queasy at times

Hey guys,
I just wanted to let everyone know that this morning I decided to take a test and low and behold I got a BFP!!!! I was so in shock that I took another one and again a BFP!!! This is the happiest day of my life; my husband and I were both crying and laughing and smiling and hugging each other for like a half hour this morning. Again to all the wonderful women who have posted to me and wished me the best of luck and kept me in your prayers I truly thank you. I know it is still early but I just have such a good feeling.

Hey Girl!  Hope everything is good.  I know everyone is different but I got my BFP @13DPO.  I know the wait is agonizing, but even if you went to the dollar store and purchased a few of those tests it couldn't hurt.  Try using your 1st morning's urine, and just keep the results to yourself (whatever they may be) until you have your 1st missed period.  I'm praying for you, and I'm sure all will work out fine.

I had a lot of those symptoms even when i wasn't prego, which always made think i was.  The only difference is the taste in the mouth, when i got that taste in my mouth I KNEW i was.  It sounds to me like you have a VERY good chance of being prego.  I would suggest getting some test from the dollar store and taking them when your AF is due.

Thanks for you advice and information. I have not taken a HPT yet because I am afraid it will come back negative. I am trying my hardest to wait until I have technically missed my AF or at least until I have 18 days of elevated temps, that would bring me to the weekend. But like you said it honestly does sound promising to me as well. Maybe I will try a test in the morning. Lord knows I have the entire fertility aisle of CVS in my linen closet!

One more thing...I know you don't want to get your hopes up, but if I were you at this point, mine would already be way up there!!! It definitely does sound promising. Again, good luck!

That's the worst thing about waiting. A lot of the symptoms of pregnancy are the same as if you were going to get AF. Not only that, if you're hoping you're pregnant you read into EVERY little sign to hoping that it might tell you if you are. Have you tried a HPT (even though it might be too early)? I would be POAS every other day until I either got AF or a BFP :)
