Decided to try to get pregnant

I am 34. My husband and I have talked off and on for years about having another child and tryed for a short period when she was around 3. She is 10 now and we had pretty much decided we were done, but still had doubts here and there. On June 1st, I got this ovewhellming feeling that we should quit birth control and let God decide. My husband agreed and couldn't explain himself why he agreed. Went to the doctor on June 8th and talked to my family doctor about my thyroid issues and about getting pregnant. Started on prenatal vitamens. My period was from June 3rd to June 9th. I spotted on the 16th, is this normal after going off birth control? I really don't think we are pregnant yet, but I only had one period after going off birth control with our daughter. I just want to make sure that is not a sign that i am not aware of. We are going to an amusement park this weekend and I don't want to ride rides if there is possibly a chance.

Congrats on your decision!!  Like worried said, there is always a chance, but it could also be your body trying to regulate itself after getting off of b/c.  For some it takes months and for others that process is really quick.  It just depends on the person I guess.

Good luck!!  I just turned 34 on Tuesday and we are expecting #6 :)

if you've had unprotected sex, there is possibly a chance so i'd avoid the less tame rides if i were you. it's one of two things that spotting ( probably) : coming off the birth control is one and the other one is implantation bleeding ( which usually occurs 7-14 days after sex where you've conceived ). always best to err on the side of caution. best of luck and hope you hang around...there's a good support network and a lot to learn on here...i'm on baby 4 and still learning!
