Did you have morning sickness with one pregnancy and not the next?

With my first two I was so sick I would throw up 15+ times a day and end up in the er. This time around I only got sick twice. I get waves of nausea, but I don't really get sick. I'm 8 weeks and at this point with my last pregnancy I was living on the bathroom floor. Is it normal to get really sick with one pregnancy and not the next?? The only thing I am doing differently this time is taking extra folic acid. I take my prenatal and then I take juice plus (it's just dried green veggies and fuits) so I'm getting a TON of folic acid. Could that be what it is??

I guess it just makes me nervous that I'm not as sick. I am taking care of my 19 month old little girl and don't really have time to be sick so it's not a bad thing.

I had just the morning nausea with my first two which were boys and then when I carried my daughter she made me throw up all the time. Then with my 4th which was a boy I was even more sick with him in fact I lost 21 lbs. I hit my 6 wks mark with this pregnancy yesterday and the nausea is unbearable. I am actually taking zofran to help. So each pregnancy can be completely different. I have 2 small children at home. My daughter is 3 and my son is 17 months, so I wished the "all day sickness" had passed me. But this to shall come to an end. I also am suffering from horrible migraines. The one I had Sat was so bad, I spent 3 hrs in the ER getting 2 doses of morphin to try and get rid of it. So just realize you are blessed and enjoy it.

This isn't about me but about my mom. She has been pregnant 5 times. (Only 2 of us survived) she said with her first 3 (the pregnancy before me, me and the last one) she had really bad morning sickness and then 2 (the only boy to survive my crazy brother and the pregnancy right after him) she had absolutely no morning sickness. Just a tid bit of nausea through out the 1st and 3rd trimester.

Every pregnancy is different, I was fine with my first two and have been fairly sick with this one.I wouldn't take it as a bad thing and I wouldn't worry haha. I would be happy not being sick with having two children at home...

I threw up twice with my first pregnancy and have not had any morning sickness with any of my other pregnancies until this time.  This is pregnancy #6/baby #4.  I have been SO sick.  I have been prescribed 3 meds for the N&V and it has helped somewhat, but I have developed constipation as a side-effect!  Each pregnancy is different.  Feel blessed that you are not sick this time around!  I do know that my hcg levels went high very quickly with this pregnancy compared to a couple of the others, so that might be it.  My hcg level at 9dpo was 48 and at 11dpo was 172!  Yikes!

With my miscarriage in June, I had every symptom.. throwing up every single morning, couldn't keep things down... This pregnancy, I feel really good. Don't really get sick.. Only time I feel nauseated is when I need to eat/drink something :)

I think we just have to accept that every pregnancy has it's own symptoms and not stress out along the way. Also I think I'm just managing the nausea better this time around. If I don't eat I feel horrible and last time I wasn't able to take my vitamins because I was so sick.

I didnt have ANY nausea with my daughter, but I have nausea with this baby boy. Each pregnancy is different. My DD is here and almost 3 yrs old. AS HEALTHY as one can be i think. And DS still has a little bit of cooking to do!

Thanks ladies! I guess I'm being paranoid. I keep thinking I should be sicker ;-) I have had a ton of nausea and I'm even losing weight from not eating as much. I will feel so much better in a few weeks when I'm out of the first trimester.

Of my four full term pregnancies, I only had morning sickness with one, my girl.  I had absolutely nothing with my three boys.
