Does anyone have a large fibroid (or cluster)?

I am 28 weeks and have a larger fibroid, 14cm. I am now getting cramping frequently on my side where the fibroid exists. The fibroid started around 10cm, then at 16 weeks was at 12.8 cm, and at 24 weeks was 14 cm, so it seems like its growth is tapering off.

I was wondering if anyone has any, if you are getting any pain from it, and if you have already had a pregnancy with a large fibroid if you had any complications with it?

I am also curious of the average size fibroid and if mine is only large for my OB, or if it is in general large.

I think it's wise not to have them out! I dont know, I'm no doctor but depending on where they/it is it can weaken the uterus and put your baby's like at risk. They can be in side the uterus, in the lining, or outside, mine is in the lining of the uterus so they wont take it out until I am done with kids.

My pregnancy was a surprise, my husband and I wanted to wait another year or so before trying but TADA! So for me, it did not hurt my being able to get pregnant as far as I know. I hope you are able to get pregnant and that your fibroids don't interfere, I don't have much for you as far as getting pregnant goes...

I can tell you that once I was pregnant, it has not been an easy road. I had bleeding (like a period) a few times before I was 14 weeks (12 weeks is usually the miscarriage scare hump). I thought I had miscarried twice, and then just got used to it. They arent sure why I was bleeding, just that it wasn't the baby's. I have also been to the hospital for loss of fluid and they cant tell me where its coming from (but it isnt amniotic fluid thank God, and I'm not peeing). I have a good amount of cramping since about 25 weeks. My biggest concern is that the baby is small, measuring in the 16th percentile, due to the fibroid. He doesnt have as much room, and I am carrying like I am having twins. When people find out how far along I am they always ask if its twins, because I look more like 39 than 29 weeks. My doctor doesn't seem worried about it but I do get an ultrasound every month, and I am going to start getting one every 2 weeks starting my 30th week. It's actually really nice to see the baby that much, most women only see them twice their pregnancy and I have seen him 6 times so far.

Sorry for all the words, I wish you the very best!
