Feet, legs, hands and wrists swelling

I have been swelling more here lately.  Sometimes it is so bad that I have to take my shoes and socks off at work b/c they start to hurt.  I can't even tell I have ankles anymore.  I have noticed the my wrists and fingers have started to swell too.  Sometimes I can put my finders around my wrists and touch them together and other times I can't.  It does seem to get a little better while I am sleeping but not going away completely like it was doing.  I said something to the doctor about it.  He said that as long as my face is not swelling I should be OK.  I did not have this trouble with my first preg.  It really bothers me.  Anyone else having this trouble?

I tend to swell pretty bad towards the last couple of months of pregnancy.. I'm always tested for preeclampsia and it's always negative.  I just swell.  I guess it's so bad that when I got pregnant this time my 11 yo asked "Are you gonna swell like you did the last times" LOL  I always make sure I have shoes that are easy to slip on and can be loosened to accomodate.  My swelling has gotten so bad that I could lay my hand on my thigh for a few minutes and when I picked it up there was a perfect indent of my hand including where the wrinkles/creases are.  It's VERY uncomfortable, if you haven't already, make sure you mention it to your doc as soon as possible.  It could be NOTHING or it could be SOMETHING...better to rule the SOMETHING out now :)

Ok then. I think at 26 march they will do more tests if it is necessary. I think everything is under control. Wish you best.

I have the same problem, and my doctor has been keeping a close eye on me.  i am not quite as far along as you are yet so, if anything were to happen i need to keep my little man in there as long as possible.  I am 26 weeks.  Basically you have signs of preeclampsia just like i do without the high blood pressure or protein  in your urine.  You should be ok as long as you don't get either of those things on top of it.  My doctor told me to make sure i drink a lot of water, keep my feet up, and stay away from as much salt as possible.  Good luck, just think not long now and you'll be holding your baby.

My sugar test came back OK when I tested at 24 weeks.  When the doctoe told me that I had sugar in my urine on the march 5th, he said that I shouldn't worry too much about it right now.  That he would keeping an eye on it.

Also did you made oral glucose tolerans test? What is the level of your blood sugar? Because sugar in urine is not normal, that means that your blood sugar is higher than 10 mmol/l. I don`t want to scare your, just want to help you and to tell you to be careful.

So far my BP has been fine.  I know that I have had sugar in my urine but no mention of protein as of yet.  I have been getting dizzy.  The other night I felt dizzy in my sleep (sounds strange I know).  When I opened my eyes I thought that my ceiling fan was on but it wasn't the whole room was turning.  It did that all night and into the morning.  I have noticed that when I have a BH I am getting dizzy and kind of nausious.

Some womens have swellings during the pregnancy. More important is to make tests for protein in urine, to control the blood presure and to watch the baby closer. Maybe you should reduce your salt intake. I hope you will be good till the end. From your profile I see you are 30 weeks. Stay in touch with your doctor. And take rest when you go home.
