Hating myself...

I never have any energy to clean or exercise or anything.. all I want to do is sleep or lay on the couch. I'm a stay at home wife and am thirteen plus weeks pregnant. I hate myself for feeling this way and I want to clean because I know I should but I can't find the energy to do it.. =( what should I do???

I totally feel you, hun. I've been struggling with laziness too!! I'm just sooo tired all the time! I'm feeling my age with this baby!! I'm 34.. with my first two I had a spotless house..not so much with #3 and this one..lol..I clean just enough but none of the deep stuff!! Now its to the point I get tired just thinking of how bad I need to REALLY clean!! Lol!!! I have used dance music b4 to get me motivated, maybe I need to break it out!!

During the first trimester, all I did was sleep, so my place was just a mess. Then when the second trimester started, I could do things in brief spurts, so I would clean for a few minutes, sit down for 10, then repeat the cycle until it was done. Now at almost 21 weeks I can clean for a couple of hours with only a break or two and I'm done. I also went from barely even touching the gym to walking a few miles a day at least. So it does get better, just hang in there, and let your body get the rest it needs.

its helpful to have a good support system. starting with your husband being understanding. and then you using your support system to help you. get your husband to help you clean. or get him to ask you to do something during the day. even if its something small. i know for me, having my husband ask for something special done gets me to do it.
you can always ask a friend to help too. to come and get you motivated, or a family member to come help.
you are at a stage in pregnancy where it really wipes you out and its okay to ask for help! ask for help when you need it. and if you are feeling down on yourself its not worth the stress of letting it get to you. ask for help and feel better.
personally (after having anxiety issues and the doctor suggestion this, and it has worked for everything since, including depression and pregnancy sleepy times) pick one thing a day to do. one day do the dishes (or just stack them) the next day dry them. one day do one load of laundry the next day the sweeping up. just rotate things enough that by the end of the week its all been touched. cycle things so that at least you are up and moving once a day. start slow and you will find that getting something done motivates you to do more.
i hope you are feeling better soon. second trimester is much better, (though you have started, its different for each woman, give it a little time)  there is an end in sight! and dont be afraid to ask for help. : )

I feel the same, my bf comes home from working 10hr days in a mill & has to do dishes :-( but I know he appreciates a nice dinner so I prioritize what's important to myself & him and start there. Home cooked dinners & clean laundry mean the most to him. A clean bathroom & baked treats r my thing. If I get most of it done, great. If I get extra done, yay! If I dont get it done, there's always tomorrow!

I have a lot of trouble getting motivated too and I'm completely ocd super clean freak lol.  I'm now a stay at home mom too, which makes it even harder for me because I'm always used to working.  I found playing my favorite "dance" type music, or anything that gets me pumped really helps a ton!

When I don't have the energy to do anything I make myself get up and do it anyways. If I feel like I'm getting tired, I take a short break then get back to work. I always feel good about myself after I accomplish my task.

If it helps, promise yourself you'll reward yourself with something after you finish whatever you're doing.
