Heartbeat question

I was wondering if as the due date gets closer, does the baby's heart rate slow at all? I'm wondering because every time I go to the doctor it seems like his heartbeat is getting lower, my very first appointment he was 156, and since then it was usually around 144, and now the past two times I've went it was 133, 135, should this concern me or is this normal for babies??

It is absolutely normal. My SIL just gave birth to her son on Monday. Her appointments before that her son's heartbeat was lower and lower as well. The reason is because there is so little room for them to move that they aren't very active and their heartbeat doesn't really increase much.

So it is normal!
