Inducing labor ? Has anyone tryed ?

hi , this is my 2nd time pregnant and im due for march 17 , my husbands birthday is march 9 , so he wants me to get induced at 38 weeks and like 4 days , im so scared i dont know if i should do it or not just because he wants me too , has anyone been in a similar position.  im scared to induce my self and all because he wants the baby to be born on his bday ... pls help me out

I agree inducing for convenience especially so early will most likely  just make labor longer and if your body isn't ready it simply won't take over so you will have to have the meds longer (and that makes it hurt even more).

My OB won't even consider doing a 'non medically necessary' induction till after 39 weeks because he says it will be one of two things...super long and painful and most likely end in a c-section or just fail completely.

My sister in law had an early induction 37 weeks, and it took over 3 days because her body kept stopping labor.
