Low Amniotic Fluid

Hello, I am 28 weeks pregnant, and I have low amniotic fluid, with the deepest pocket being 5cm. Is there anything I can do increase it or things I should decrease doing?

This happened to a friend of mine.  She switched to high risk and was seen very often to measure the fluid and observe the pregnancy.  She did make it almost to term.  Did they tell you any reason for the low fluid?  This can be due to you having a kidney issues, tears or rupture of the placenta, sadly, sometimes due to birth defects of the baby, basic placenta issues or things with mom such as dehydration.  Any idea about any of these?  My friend did have a hydration schedule and had to increase her fluid intake.  Some women go into the hospital for IV's of fluids, some get fluid injected directly into the placenta.  You are in the second half of pregnancy experiencing this which is better.  Anyway, not sure if this helped at all but I'm sorry you have to deal with that.  hugs
