Membrane Sweep & stretch and 2cm anyone? any input?

has anyone had a sweep? i had one today, im 40 weeks today and induction set for 10 days time. the doctor said i was 2cm and since then iv been having some sort of contractions but nothing that has hung about. they have been eye watering and some have been mild. it gave me a show and left me very crampy from i got it 6 hours ago but for an hour or two now it has felt like its all stopped. does anyone have any input/ experience into this? just wish i knew when labour would happen. this is my second pregnancy,a  boy, my daughter was born 3 days earlier by walking i believe but its not helping this one lol thanks

wish i knew if it would happen for me. been sleeping for past 7 hours and nothing since.. very disheartening! i know i would be happy enough waiting until my induction 3rd july but i want the false labour to quit teasing lol

I had one with number 3, I was 2 cm at my 38 week appt, we did a sweep and I started having contractions sporadically.  It took 4 days but I went into labor 10 days before my due date!

I had my membranes swept at 38 weeks and ended up having my water break at 39 weeks. It is not a guarantee and not all Dr. do it. It can help move things along, but you never know!! I cramped a little after and had some light bleeding but that went away within a few hours. just hang in there and keep walking!!

Sounds like things could be starting to happen...if a little slowly hey! I can't help you there with sweeps, had one with all 3 of my children and none of them worked at all.
Good luck though hope you go soon and look forward to seeing a pic of the little man when he arrives! :D
