Miscarriage? Please help

So I went to the dr. Wed and my levels jumped from 54,000 on Monday to 58,000 on Wed. My dr said I should be in the 100,000s by now since I should be almost 8 wks preg. The ultrasound last Mon. showed no heartbeat and was measuring only 6 wks. A week before that there was a heartbeat and measuring almost 6 wks. I still have not passed it, and really dont want the d&c but I dont want to wait too much longer and possible get an infection. What should I do, Help if you have gone through this. :(

I go tomorrow to check levels again. If they have not dropped then I want another ultrasound before deciding on the d & c. I am not spotting lately it has been about a week since I spotted last. I have some mild crampy feelings every now and then. I am so confused.

That is true there is always hope I would wait another week or so then if there is still nothing make a decision at that time. I went through a blighted ovum in decemember I had to u/s to make sure to see if there was a change or not. It wasnt a change for me but their may be a change for you . I didnt do a dnc the doc prescribed medication to help me pass it as I was not bleeing or having any pain at atll. Everything pretty much came out the same day that I took it. All I can say is pray about it if its your time then it will be. Good luck

There's always hope Sweetie...If your doctor heard a heatbeat only a week or so ago..there's definitely hope. I really feel like your dates are off though, seeing as the baby is measuring a week or so behind what you think you are.
Did you get your blood taken again? Are you bleeding or in any pain? Never give up hope, sometimes thats all we have left!

No darling I really dont think it is fair to be giving you false hope. If there is no heartbeat and the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks then the rest is academic. I am so sorry I had a m/c last week and know what you are going through feel free to get in touch with me

I was 7 wks when they did the first u/s and saw a heartbeat and it measured 5 wks almost 6. Could I still have hope. Are do you think the odds are not in my favor

I agree with Gina..your numbers seem high for 8wks not sure what the doctor was talking about...if your numbers are still increasing then there is Hope...wait a week and have another u/s... you won't get an infection by waiting..do you have an option of getting a second opinion? Good luck and keep the hope...I shoudl be aroun 7-8 wks too and my numbers are extremley low!! Not even 10,000 but my doctor is not giving up hope yet as my numbers are stil steadily rising so we are praying and hoping...I'll pray for you too. keep us posted.

I thought 100,000 for 8 weeks was really really high. I was only 49,901 at 12 weeks and my Doc said that was a normal number. That seems very high for only 8.
Well if you did hear a heartbeat and see the baby a week ago, than there is hope. Are you schedule to go back and get your HCG tested again? I was suggest doing that because although they didn't double, they did go up which is a good sign.
Don't assume you're having a M/C, have some hope sweetie! Definitely make sure you know what's going on with your body first, go back and get your blood taken, get the results and take it from there.
