No heartbeat at 6 week ultrasound, Very Scared

Hi, I had a vaginal scan yesterday and it  measured 6 weeks 2 days which sounds right to me. The doctor who did the scan said that there was no heart beat and as my hcg levels are 26,000 he should definately hear one. He also said that the fetal pole did not look like it was forming properly and that im probably going to miscarry. Im going in for another scan next week but that feels like an eternity. My husband and I have been trying for over 18 months and have already had 2 miscarriages, Im so scared of loosing this baby and i honestly dont know how i will cope with another miscarriage. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this and still had a healthy baby in the end? Some words of confidence would be so helpful right now

Thankyou all so much for your commentsand kind words, it has given me hope and I will try my best to just relax and stress to much until i get the next scan. I got some blood taken yesterday and i will be getting the results for that today to see if my levels are rising. Fingers crossed and i will let you all know xxx

I had a scan at similar time as you and nothing was seen. i was having cramps and was told that it was either an ectopic pregnancy or i was miscarrying. however, thank God I am nearly 15 weeks today and everything looks fine. Just wait and see hopefully everything will be fine.....x

Also the doctor said I had him confused because my hcg's we high enough to see something and yet there wasnt. Are you numbers rising? Are they checking your hcgs?

I had an ultrasound at 5.5 weeks and then at 6 weeks, there was nothing visible but the sac. No fetal pole or yolk sac either. I waited to go back when I was 8 weeks 3 days and lo and behold the baby made itself present, they also put me up to 9 weeks.
Try not to worry.

I'm sorry you're having to go through this, I haven't been in this situation, but wanted to say that it's not over yet. I've read plenty of no heartbeat stories on here, where the pregnancy was just not far enough yet to hear one. Don't lose hope! *HUGS*
