Overdue and getting worried!

Ok so I am 40 weeks and 3 days. I am not rushing my child out, as this is my last pregnancy, I just feel like I will never go into labor?!?!?  I have had no sign whatsoever that I will go into labor! No contractions besides braxton hicks a few times a day. I have walked and been having sex. Will I ever go into labor on my own?!?!!? How come I feel so normal? Im cooking and cleaning like its another day...getting down in the dumps :( experience ladies? This is my 2nd pregnancy and my 1st was born on her due date. I lost my mucous plug with her 9 hours before birth and had no contractions until the day of delivery. She was an emergency c section because she went into distress. I am having a vbac with this one and they are not allowed to induce me. If I don't go into labor on my own before 42 weeks I will have to have another c section...DOES MY BODY WORK?!?!!?

I know someone who just recently had a baby & her due date was 12/18/11. That date came & went, like a fool she begged her dr. to induce her. Thank God he refused. Her daughter was born on 1/28/12! Baby only weighed 6# 8ozs. There has never been a woman in history to be pregnant forever. What we do have is drs not letting nature take it's course. They intervene bc on the small chance something went wrong the dr doesn't want to get sued. Even women in labor & dr says baby is in distress it usually isn't but dr panics & of course mom isn't in any position to argue bc she feels dr knows best. Just my 2 cents

I went to 41 1/2 weeks with my first. It was God aweful annoying that the child wouldn't budge. I ended up with a c-section 36 hours later. Never did have my own contractions. Never had Braxton Hicks either.  I often wonder if my body works too.

Are you getting non-stress tests every few days?  If not, you should after 40 wks. I only ask bc I know someone who went to 42 but baby had been in distress a week before and things didn't turn out well.
