PLEASE HELP!

The past few days I have been under a Significant amount of stress. For the past 3 days, i have been dealing with some very hard relationship issues and have been under more stress than i can ever remember in the past. However some strange things have to happen around weird times. I am about one week out from my period. Last month I had it and was slightly worried about could have gotten pregnant, took a test and all was fine. Since then my partner and I have had sex occasionally. I have been on Birth control for a long time, and a certain brand for the last few months now. We only had sex one or two times without a condom on top of taking birth control but even when we didnt have a condom for backup, he never ejaculated into me. However, i don't know if what im experiencing is from great stress or what, but just the other day, a week out from my period, I had some black gooy chunky menstrual fluids, and the next day after, today, i have slight cramps and tender breasts. What could this mean? Could I be pregnant? Is it Stress? or is it something else?

I have changed pills a few months back, but never experienced anything like this until now. How effective really are these pills? ya ya i know 99 percent, but really, I always here of people only trusting that with a condom as well. And what is the deal with the black looking period. Can periods come early, or things that look like periods?

As for the "black" discharge...I've never heard of anything like that ever before. If it's not like your normal period, I would definitely get checked out by a dr.
