At your next appt make sure you mention it to your doc. At this point it's probably just normal swelling caused by the pressure from the uterus. Just keep an eye out for other signs such as swelling of the hands/arms and face, seeing white spots in your vision, hot flashes etc. Drink lots and lots of water and 100% juice. elevate your legs anytime you are resting...at night prop them on a couple of pillows and sleep on your left side. Try to avoid anything with a high sodium content and don't use extra salt on your food as this will only contribute to the swelling. If you normally sit a great deal during the day make sure you take frequent breaks to walk....if you stand a lot...take breaks to sit and prop your feet up. I swell like a puffer fish in the third trimester of all my pregnancies. I was just this morning thinking that it ***** that even my flipflips are tight now LOL!!! I've actually been so swollen in one of my other pregnancies that just laying my hands on my thights would leave such deep indents I almost swore I could see my fingerprints indented in my leg (only a slight exaggeration there).
its probably just normal swelling..my legs are always retaining water and have been since i was about 27 weeks, i get indents on my legs if i barely put anything on it ill have the imprint..unless your blood pressure is high i wouldnt worry too much, stay hydrated and keep your feet up as much as possible, elevated above the heart
