Pregnancy after having my tube tied, Is it possible

I am 24 years old, my husband & I have 4 kids (he has 2 from another marriage). I had my tubes tie with the birth of our now 8month old son (procedure was done 11/1/09). I got my period every month since then, & everything was fine till May. I got my period in may but have had nothing since. I have been very tired, dizzy, puking.

Is it possible to be pregnant after having my tube tied?

And yes it can be. Ectopic pregnancy is life threatening and would need immediate treatment. Your tube could burst which can cause uncontrollable bleeding.

Generally it does work. The odds of pregnancy are about 1% and as time passes goes up to 1.8%. If you're 150% positive you're done with children, there are a few other procedures you can look into.

I am down right terrified to test, I'm thinking that I might hold off & test Saturday am. Then that would mean that I have officially missed 2 periods.

Would waiting to test be bad if its ectopic?

Take a test. If you had had your tubes tied for a while i'd say not to be really worried but since its a rather new surgery maybe something didn't take right ya know? i'd test just to be on the safe side.. let us know the results.. best of luck!

When my period was due in June, I got spotting. Then that followed up with some slight cramping.

I am so terrified that I could be pregnant again, we did not want any more kids. I thought getting my tubes tied would keep that from happening : (

I guess I should take a home pregnancy test...

It's possible, but the odds are low, and if you are pregnant, you have a high chance of it being Ectopic. If you suspect pregnancy, you need to be seen by a doctor soon so they can tell if  you are, and if it's implanted in the tubes or your uterus.
