GOOOOOOOOODDD!!!!!!!!! lol
Cramping is normal in early pregnancy its just your muscles getting ready to stretch. :)
Ehh, I'm starting to get some cramps now. I'm wondering if it's from not being able to "go"... Well I mean I can... but, it's a little difficult now...... do you think that's what's causing the cramps?
oh good i was worried that i had scared you off! well as long as its just the shoulder pain you should be fine like i said you proly just slept on it wrong :)
Well it did just a little... But, since I'm not having really bad cramps, or anything.. just the shoulder pain.. I think I'll be ok for now.
i hope i didnt scare you i just wanted you to be aware of all the symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy,
but dont worry im sure its just the way you slept
Symptoms
Ectopic pregnancy is usually diagnosed around six weeks of pregnancy. Your spouse should consult her obstetrician if she has any of the following symptoms:
* Pain or tenderness in the abdomen or pelvis, especially while coughing or moving bowels, and which may become more severe or chronic with time
* Vaginal bleeding
* Shoulder pain, especially while lying down
* Symptoms of shock, such as a weak, racing pulse, pale and clammy skin, or dizziness, which may indicate a ruptured tube that requires urgent attention
I ask because my cousin had an ectopic pregnancy a few months ago and she said she got shoulder pain. So it's just kinda scarey.
Thanks for easing my mind.
An ectopic pregnancy is usually extreme pain in your side about where you ovary would be. I haven't heard any correlation to pain in the shoulder to an ectopic pregnancy. Most likely it was just the way you slept. :)
Well I fell asleep on my back lastnight. It's my left shoulder. DH and I have our bed against the wall. (myside). He has OCD about things being in the middle in the room..
The pain was there for a while.. But, if I'm still it's fine. And then if I move again it'll hurt.
Like If I turn over to real quick. It's really annoying to say the least. lol
What position is safest to sleep in while pregnant?
Sleeping on your back while pregnant can create pressure on a major vein called the inferior vena cava. This vein returns blood from the lower body to your heart. This may lead to lightheadedness and/or numbness. In addition this may cause pressure on your back and intestines, leading to discomfort.
Sleeping on your stomach is not recommended because it can cause pressure on the fetus.
Most physicians recommend that a woman sleep on her left side while pregnant. this allows for the maximum blood flow to the baby, and it will also improve kidney function for the mother. The improved kidney flow will help to reduce swelling. Because your liver is on the right side of your body, sleeping on your left will keep the pressure off your liver.
Early in pregnancy, you should attempt to get into the habit of side sleeping. Typically the most comfortable position is with your knees bent. You may wish to place a pillow between your knees to sleep more comfortably.
The best sleeping position for a pregnant woman is on her side, especially the left side, because it allows for maximum blood flow to the fetus and improves kidney function in the mother. Improved kidney flow helps to reduce any swelling. Placing a pillow between the knees can help a pregnant woman sleep more comfortably on her side. Also, using a bunched-up pillow or rolled-up blanket at the small of your back may help to relieve some pressure.
It is not uncommon to roll onto your back during the night. Shifting positions is a perfectly natural part of sleep. If you do shift it is possible that the baby's weight may press on the inferior vena cava, causing discomfort and waking you up.

I don't think DH can take me the doctor until next week.
