Quit Smoking?

I'm about 6 weeks pregnant and I'm a smoker (I just found out I was pregnant). I was wondering if any of you can give me any tips on how to quit without driving myself insane and snapping at everyone around me? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I smoked with my first son cigarettes and tree .  I use to smoke the shorts of his had cigarettes and I use to smoke tree until about 8 months . not to jinx u but my baby came out healthy.  A little on the small side 6lbs2oz but he sure ddidn't look it after two months . he more than double his weight . after I had him n got my first job I was buying packs left and right.  And tree . but when I got pregnant with this baby I stopped everything cold turkey and I don't plan on starting again . I want both my boys to be healthy . and second hand smoke is way worse than smoking

Honestly I smoked until almost 9 weeks because I didn't know I was pregnant. Shortly before that my morning sickness kicked in and I was suddenly revolted. It helps to replace the habit and try to not smoke when you normally would pulsated a meal or before bed or what have you. I probably wasn't all nice but everyone understood that all at once I was no longer smoking or timing or drinking and it has been worth it every day.

It's so tough, really it is. I was a pack a day smoker, everything to me was an excuse to smoke. I ate, I needed to smoke, I was mad or sad, I needed to smoke, had alot of spare time, better go smoke now. I loved it too, and sometimes I really still want to, especially because I work in a gas station selling packs all day and Im so tempted to buy one, but I just think about my daughter and how much I love her and how far I've come and that helps. Its a daily struggle sometimes, and other times it will have been so long since you quit you wont even think about it anymore. You just have to take it one day at a time.

I smoked throughout my first pregnancy, granted I was making a pack last a week or two which was WAY less than when I wasn't and thankfully my son was perfectly healthy and still is. I just don't want to push my luck, I did quit while I was in the hospital with my first, but as soon as I got home, I made the mistake of lighting one up thinking, "Oh, I can still quit. It's just one." Yeah, I was dumb. Lol. But I really do want to be healthier this time.

Honestly, there isn't much you can do aside from trying to relax. Maybe take a warm bath or even a nap if it gets to be too much. I was a smoker for 6 years, and I found out I was pregnant with my first when I was 7 weeks 2 days along. I finished out the pack I had and never bought another, and let me tell you life was hell and I was a raging b word for a good week or more, but once it was out of my system I felt great. Now it will have been 2 years on February 4th since the day I quit, Im pregnant with my second and health wise I've never felt better. Never knew breathing could be so easy!
