Your very right! I'm so sorry that frustrated me just reading it. I would personally call your doctor!
Wat time did u leave hospital cuz I would go bac now or wate till her shift ends. If u are n that much pain go bac an ask for a different nurse an tell them u all so want to see the doctor. An I would right a complaint on her an turn it n because u dnt wanna have ur baby at hme.
We have just gotten back home so she is still there. It's a small hospital, and the only other nurse there is training and she's my husbands crazy ex girlfriend! HA (yea, I've had a GREAT effin day) when we left I was just like well I guess I'll see you later tonight bc this baby is coming! I've ha false labor twice already and this is a whole different kind of pain, and I have to have a full pouch of antibiotics before I can deliver so if this baby starts coming, it will be puttig him in danger. I'm just in tears as so upset. I didn't know they could release you without a doctor checking you..? Do they not have to?
If you're in a lot of pain, go back. My water never broke, my doctor had to do it, I would request a doctor check you!
U pose to get checked by a doctor befor u get released an sign off on. The paper befor u go so I would go bac till they do sum about it. But I wish u luck
I never saw a Dr. when I went in once. With my first pregnancy I thought my water might be leaking but it wasn't. They didn't have me see a Dr. They did however hook me up to the monitors. Did they do that to you?
ask them to have your DOCTOR call you. id refuse to leave until i saw a doctor
A nurse cant legally discharge you, she had to have called the doctor and updated him/her on your situation. Most (if not all) doctors have an on call staff, call them and ask them to page your doctor, tell them the story. Sometimes the cervix is so high up that if you have little fingers you cant reach it, I dont see how she could tell if you were dilated if she could not reach the cervix. And if she could give you the "1 cm" measurement, she could have just as easily told you your effacement.
Cervical measurements are subjective. The doctor probably had it right at the 2 cm. Sounds like she may have just guessed at the 1 cm thing.
They will base the urgency of your case based on how far apart your contractions are, if you are dilated and yes if your water broke. There was a certain lack of professionalism involved, but remember that medical staff work based on factors that equal a logical situation. I hope your baby's vitals were checked. If she did and determined that the baby is not in distress may have factored in her decision. Call your physician!
Thank you ladies! I just don't see how they could say I won't be posterior when I start labor, every case is different. I just don't want to cause my little man any distress bc some woman was scared to tell the doctor that she couldn't check me. My doctor is out of town but I have an appointment with him Tuesday, if I last that long, I'll tell him alllll about it. I guess every pregnant woman gets frustrated with the doctors and nurses toward the end, especially when they won't listen and you KNOW something is up. Thank you all for your comments! I love gettin opinions and support from all of you!
Wen I was being induce with my son a nurse was checking me and said I was 1 cm and shift change a nother nurse checked my bf ask why it was hurt so much she said she had to pull my cervix out and said I was 4 cm that was about a min after the other nurse checked mr
