Thank you ladies! You have all reassured me that all will be fine. Im trying to keep this little bugger in the oven as long as he will stay in lol. Im hoping his little butt settles down and doesn't decide to move out so soon. But if he does, atleast he has a good chance of survival, but hopefully he cooks a lot longer. Thanks Ladies!
I hope you are able to carry the baby full term, however if not as long as the baby doesn't have a serious condition it should be fine. I had my son at 25wks he weighed a little over a pound at birth. They keep him in the NICU for 3months and that was the hardest thing ive ever been through in my life. I can say that now he is a happy and healthy 7yr old with no long term medical problems. The worse thing that i really had a problem with was ear infections for about the first year but other than that things worked out great.
well first off...chances of your baby surviving and living a normal life are very good... 33 weeks isnt the end of the world...my ex was born 10 weeks premature and he is perfectly fine and this is 20 years ago...some babies are born nowdays in their 20 weeks and live to see life...the only issues premature babies that are most common are as jesse said anemia, jaundice as well as low body temp(but that's what the lights are for) try not to worry...and technically as long as you think 3 more weeks...you are very safe...most babies born at 36 weeks get to go home right away...think positive and pray for the 36 week mark...
i looked this up yesterday.....lol
however, i'll give you a couple things, but i'm not giving you the site addy, or a full list, b/c honestly, it's like the site gives only 100% bad stuff, and nothing positive, but it was the only 1 i could find
jaundice, apnea(where baby stops breathing, but can start back on his own), respitory distress syndrome(which from what i understand, can happen to ANYONE not just infants), easy risk for infections, and anemia....the rest, IMPO, are geared more towards women who have sh!TTy pregnancies, as i've known several women to go around 33-34 weeks, and jaundice was the only iusse....oh and problems feeding.....my nephew was born at 35 weeks, his sister @ 34 weeks, and neither of them had/have any health issues, in fact, my nephew was easily catching up to "full term" babies, w/in 2 weeks...he was tiny, we did a DVD comparison lol, and dvd was half h is size, but boy, he hit 4 weeks, and just SHOT UP!!! he was wearing 0-3 months instead of newborn etc.....
My twin nieces were born around 25 - 28 weeks and they were in the NICU for 2 months, but are now 20 years old, college graduates, and have no health or vision problems.. This is the ONLY (firsthand) experience I have w/ preemies, but they are just fine. Also, my neighbor had her son about 2 months ago, and he was 5 weeks early, and they kept him only like a week and they are both fine.. Hope this helps.
